Overview
The CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care is a nationally recognised qualification from the CHC Community Services Training Package. It is an entry level qualification for anyone wishing to commence a career in the early childhood sector, or for someone who has been working in the industry for a number of years and wishes to formally recognise their knowledge and skills.

The CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care teaches the skills and knowledge required to provide care for individuals and groups of children. Students will learn how to plan activities to facilitate children's play to support children's well being, learning and development. The qualification will also teach students how to support the implementation of an approved learning framework, while working within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.

Delivery Mode
The qualification is delivered through workplace based training, meaning that students can study the CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care while working in the early childhood sector. Students are assigned a Trainer/Assessor who will conduct regular visits to the service. During these visits, the Trainer/Assessor will support the student through their learning and will assess them to determine their level of competency in each unit.

Duration
The duration depends on the student's previous learning, employment status and experience, but the qualification typically takes between 12 and 24 months to complete.

Cost
There are different options available for students enrolled in CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care: a fee for service delivery structure, Government-funded traineeships or Certificate 3 Guarantee.
